In 2021, the Irvins took an enormous leap of faith —- both leaving their public safety careers in which they earned over six-figures —- and allowed God to lead them into their next chapter of life.
They were tired of repeating patterns, burnt out from extensive work hours and rough work conditions brought on by the pandemic, and yearned for a deeper purpose in life. After leaving their jobs, they faced many obstacles and tests. In the face of adversity, God’s faithfulness remained and they began to both experience spiritual transformation like never before by reading the word together, fasting, and praying together multiple times a day.
Over the course of time, Reginald began to have dreams of being back inside of various jails and prisons, yet not serving in a traditional officer role.
Simultaneously, Lindsey transitioned into early childhood education seeking to provide care and speak life to local families. Along their faith journey, the Irvins also received many prophecies about their future, most of which involved evangelism and reentry both locally and globally.
In 2022, God entrusted the Irvins with a larger-than-life vision of what He wanted to do on Earth through them. After writing everything down, they began to do their due diligence to gather information and resources to birth the vision and move forward in their calling. In 2023, CAYA Community Outreach was formed and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) organization to meet the needs of incarcerated individuals, families, and communities in crisis, all of which are charitable & religious purposes.
By using their professional expertise and passion for outreach ministry, the Irvins are paving the way as a young philanthropic couple on fire for the Lord. Through its many partnerships, CAYA Community Outreach is bringing restoration, revival, and reentry to the world at large.
